Founder's Message from S&J:

"Since 1920, our ancestors have cultivated and crafted tea in Taiwan. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the tea industry, we have gained a profound understanding of the high quality of Taiwanese tea. However, due to the complexity of oolong tea production and the relatively small market in Taiwan, this resulted in limited accessibility for most people. This inspired us to promote our philosophy of 'Professionalism, Simplicity, and High Quality.' We believe that high-quality Taiwanese tea can seamlessly integrate into the daily lives of people worldwide.

Brand Origin

Suurtea inherits the traditional tea-making craftsmanship of old Taiwanese tea factories and has accumulated rich tea knowledge. Suurtea proposes the core concept of tea: "The attitude of simply tasting the tea life." We firmly believe that professional baking skills without deliberate additives, can better bring out the value of the tea itself, enabling everyone to find their perfect classic tea.

"SUUR" is the transliteration of the Mandarin word "astringency", which represents the bitter and astringent taste of tea, which can stimulate the deeper aroma and sweetness of the tea, making the taste richer and fuller. Bitterness is an indispensable part of the tea world, just as it is one of the unique characteristics of tea leaves. Polyphenols in tea not only give tea its bitter taste but also act as antioxidants. This bitterness can stimulate deeper aromas and sweetness in tea, enriching its flavour profile.

Suurtea is not only a tea brand, but an attitude towards savouring life. We believe that bitterness and sweetness are equally important in life, just like the harmony we can find in a cup of tea.

With the expertise of our tea masters, we meticulously roast these teas according to their unique characteristics, creating a diverse range of flavours with natural Taiwanese oolong tea notes including "floral, milky, fruity, honeyed, woody, and charcoal nuances.

With "00, 05, 10", the digital classification conveys the degree of fermentation and roasting length of the tea, and specifically visualizes each variety of tea, using minimalist lines to express the elegance of the tea.
